Certification

Exam
Group Reporting is examined within SAP's S/4HANA Finance credentials rather than a dedicated associate exam. We prepare you against SAP's Group Reporting learning content and map the course to C_TS4FI_2023 (Financial Accounting) as the nearest credential.

What learners say

Investment consolidation with goodwill and NCI is where every course stops short. Doing a first consolidation properly is what got me hired.

Shalini M., SAP Group Reporting Consultant

We are moving off BPC. The comparison of approaches and the honest discussion of what Group Reporting does not do yet was invaluable.

Jonas W., Group Financial Controller

Currency translation adjustment finally makes sense to me as an accountant, not just as a configuration step.

Ramya K., SAP FI Consultant

What a day looks like

Close calendar
Consolidation is calendar driven, so the job is task status and chasing late units.
Validation failures
Data that will not pass validation, usually a mapping gap or an incomplete local close.
Elimination differences
Intercompany mismatches, which are almost always a business process problem, not a system one.
Translation queries
Explaining a currency translation adjustment to group finance in accounting language.
Reporting requests
Late changes to disclosure or management views, needed before the board pack.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Group Reporting certification?

Not a dedicated associate exam. Group Reporting topics appear within SAP's S/4HANA Finance credentials, and we map this course to the Financial Accounting associate exam rather than citing something that does not exist.

Do I need accounting knowledge?

Yes, genuinely. Consolidation is an accounting discipline. You can learn the configuration without it, but you will not be able to defend the numbers.

Is Group Reporting replacing BPC?

For S/4HANA customers it is SAP's strategic consolidation solution. BPC remains in use and we are clear about the functional gaps that still influence the decision.

Does it handle non-SAP subsidiaries?

Yes, through flexible upload and external data collection, which we cover as a full topic because almost every group has some.

How does this differ from Central Finance?

Central Finance consolidates transactional data into one system; Group Reporting performs the accounting consolidation and eliminations. Some groups run both, and we explain the relationship.

Is there hands-on access?

Yes, for master data, data collection, translation, elimination, investment consolidation and reporting across all three projects.
