Projects you will build

e-Invoicing configuration

Configure eDocument types and source determination for a clearance model country, generate an eDocument from a billing document and submit it.

Rejection handling

Work a set of rejected documents: a missing tax number, an invalid format and a timing failure, then correct and resubmit each.

Statutory reporting run

Configure a VAT report definition, run it with validation, produce a correction run and assemble submission evidence.

Tools you will use

eDocument cockpit
The daily working screen for submissions, statuses and rejections.
eDocument type configuration
Source determination, mapping and interface assignment.
Integration Suite communication
The integration layer that reaches tax authorities and networks.
Statutory reporting framework
Report and run definitions for periodic filings.
Localisation content
Country specific formats delivered by SAP and kept current through notes.
Monitoring and alerting
Detecting failed submissions before they become compliance breaches.

Certification

Exam
SAP has no current dedicated associate exam for Document and Reporting Compliance. We prepare you against SAP's DRC learning content, with the S/4HANA Financial Accounting exam as the nearest credential.

What learners say

Rejection handling as a full project is exactly right. On a live mandate that is the entire job for the first month.

Vivek S., SAP DRC Consultant

The clearance versus reporting model distinction is the thing our business never understood. Now I can explain it in one slide.

Elena R., Indirect Tax Manager

Deadline driven work means clients pay properly. This has been the most commercially useful course I have taken.

Nitin K., SAP FI Consultant

What a day looks like

Rejection queue
Rejected documents first thing, because in clearance countries an unrejected invoice is not a legal invoice.
Master data gaps
Missing tax registration numbers or addresses, which are the most common rejection cause.
Mandate watch
New or changed legislation and the SAP notes that implement it.
Reporting runs
Periodic statutory filings with fixed legal deadlines.
Rollout work
The next country on the programme, each with its own format and quirks.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a DRC certification?

No current dedicated associate exam. We prepare you against SAP's DRC learning content and are honest about that rather than citing a code that does not exist.

Does this cover a specific country?

We teach the framework and use representative clearance and reporting model countries for the exercises. The point is that you can assess and implement any new mandate, because they keep arriving.

On premise or cloud edition?

We cover both, including the integration differences, since which one a client uses is often decided by their wider landscape.

Do I need tax knowledge?

Not in advance. Understanding VAT concepts helps, and we cover what you need. Working closely with tax colleagues is part of the role.

Is Peppol covered?

Yes, at the level needed to understand network based exchange and where it applies alongside direct authority submission.

Is there hands-on access?

Yes, for eDocument configuration, submission, rejection handling and statutory reporting across all three projects.
